Heidi's Thoughts on Yoga Therapy

What do you love most about yoga therapy?

Yoga Therapy is a practice that inspires me and affirms my belief that healing is available to all of us, especially when we are thoughtfully and safely invited to enter the realms of our being beneath the physical body.  My heart is full of wonder each time I bear witness to a client who connects to the subtle layers of their being, and then meets, feels and senses their breath and vitality return to them.

What do you wish everyone knew about yoga therapy?

Yoga therapy is much more than physical postures.  It is a holistic approach that guides clients into a relationship with themselves that is reassuring and empowering.  Yoga Therapy is a way of living that invites a client to walk the bridge back home to themselves, where a remembrance of joy and healing, on all levels of being, can transpire.

How do you embody yoga therapy in your life?

A daily yoga practice which includes postures, breathwork, meditation and more, is what keeps me connected to my authentic self, and allows me to stay present and open hearted throughout the day.  My yoga therapist has helped me release some deep hurt and pain that I have held for a very long time in my body, and letting go of this has made more room for joy, acceptance, patience and love in my life.
